Pickleball BC and the Vernon Pickleball Association are excited to announce the first annual BC Provincial Pickleball Championship Tournament which will be held in Vernon. The dates for this inaugural event are May 12 through May 14, 2023.

From an interesting article in The Guardian: "Pickleball courts in Santa Rosa, California, were closed for several days after 'at least six quarts of oil were spilled' on to their surface, the Press Democrat reported. Lying in the oil was a 'profanity-laced note', according to the newspaper, in which the writer threatened to scratch the cars of any pickleball players." Read the full article here.
There's a battle brewing in New York City over playground space being usurped by pickleball players. "Pickleball has exploded in popularity and that’s great. According to Front Office Sports, there are 66 new places to play pickleball opening in the U.S. every month! But according to this article from AZ Big Media finding one to play on is not always easy.
